Incident Narrative

While deconstructing row units outside on the southwest corner lot of the property, two employees were removing steel shanks from the assembly. After the retaining pin was removed, the shank dropped. An employee s right index fingertip was caught between the steel shank and the row unit, resulting in a degloving injury. The employee required surgery and their fingertip was partially amputated.
