Incident Narrative
Two employees were working in an enclosed trailer troubleshooting a clog/malfunction in a mixing pump. A mixing line cracked open and sprayed droplets of acetone onto a portable electric heater causing a flash fire. Both employees were hospitalized. One employee sustained burns on their hands, face, and back, and the other employee sustained burns to the hands and respiratory distress from inhaling fumes.
