An employee was moving a shipping container to a terminal tractor when the eye that is connected to the wire rope cable failed, releasing the chain while it was under tension. The chain snapped back toward the shipping container and went to the side of the container. The chain struck the employee under his hard hat on the side of his face. The employee was hospitalized.
