Incident Narrative
A workover rig crew was tripping tubing out of the hole. The injured employee pushed back the elevators so the operator of the rig could latch up to another stand. When the operator came down, the injured employee's right index finger was caught between the elevators and the tubing that was sitting in the slips. The employee's finger was partially amputated.
