Incident Narrative
An employee was changing the tank cleaning hose from the 10% sodium hydroxide/water vat mixture to the hot water vat. A valve was opened, which caused sodium hydroxide cleaning product to spray onto the employee's forearms and stomach. The employee was hospitalized with chemical burns.
