Employees were at a roadside while re-organizing pieces of equipment on a trailer in preparation for highway travel. The boom of a telescopic crane was performing an outward telescoping motion, causing an employee's fingers to get caught between a sling and a shackle. The employee sustained degloving injuries to multiple fingers on their right hand. They also sustained amputation of the little finger and partial amputations to the middle and ring fingers.
