An employee had been kneeling on a stopped sort belt to retrieve a package. When climbing off the belt, the employee fell approximately 2.5 feet to the ground and landed on their left side. The employee suffered injuries to the left shoulder and leg, as well as a fracture to the left arm that required surgery.
