Incident Narrative
An employee was operating a skid steer, pushing debris away from the control line in preparation for a controlled burn. A log sprung loose and a fragment of wood (1 foot in diameter and 2-3 feet long) pierced the polycarbonate glass door at the front of the skid steer cabin. The wood struck the employee's upper right thigh, resulting in a laceration to the thigh and a fractured pelvis.
