Incident Narrative
Two employees were removing an existing cutout and insulator from the steel in a distribution low bay near a circuit of underground feeders connected to a 1-inch bus. Employee 1 contacted the bus with his back sustaining a shock, and employee 2 contacted it with his left hand and received second-degree burns to his three middle fingers and the back side of his knee where the electric current exited his body. Employee 2 was hospitalized.
