An employee was using a belt sander to file down a small flat bracket for a turn table fixture. The employee was holding the bracket with pliers and the belt pulled the part down. When the part was pulled down, the employee's glove was pulled into the belt and the belt sander caused a partial distal amputation of the right thumb.
