Incident Narrative

An employee was working from the bucket of a truck, replacing a span of coax main line cable. He leaned against the bucket door which opened, and he fell approximately 20 feet onto the asphalt road below. The employee sustained a fractured skull, wrist, elbow, and ankle as well as other internal injuries and was hospitalized for surgery. He was wearing fall protection and a hard hat at the time of the fall.
