Incident Narrative
An employee was assisting a resident with exiting the medical transport van that was parked in the driveway in front of the building. The employee was beginning to step off the side of the ramp when he caught his foot on the 4-inch-tall protective edge of the ramp and fell to the concrete ground approximately 19 inches below. The employee sustained a fractured right hip.
