An employee was adjusting a commercial grill at a restaurant and using a hydraulic platform lifter. They were placing the stovetop back onto its platform when the lift equipment started to roll. The grill then slid, and the employee's right little finger was crushed underneath the stovetop. The employee sustained partial amputation of the finger.
