Incident Narrative
An employee was breaking down a metal bracket/mount after the completion of an engineering test. Bolts are used to raise or lower the mount depending on the test. The employee was lowering the mounting bracket. Once bolts were loosened, the weight of the bracket caused it to slide down and pinch his right index finger between a groove on the bracket and the bolt assembly, resulting in an amputation of the finger pad.
