A maintenance employee was removing a guard on the chain and sprocket drive of a conveyor system when their hand slipped and was pulled into an in-running nip point. Multiple fingers on the employee's right hand were crushed. The employee sustained amputations to his thumb, index, and little fingers on his right hand. The ring finger was dislocated.
