An employee was preparing a conveyor for maintenance. The motor for the section he was working on was deenergized. The conveyor section that feeds the section that he was working on was not deenergized. A tote moved across the section being worked on and the employee's left middle and index fingers got caught in the chain and sprocket. The fingers were cut and crushed.
