Incident Narrative

An employee was assisting a patient with a labor and delivery technique that requires both the patient and employee to hold onto separate ends of a sheet or towel. The patient lost hold of the sheet, causing the employee to fall backward to the floor, resulting in a displaced tailbone and two vertebral fractures.
