Incident Narrative
On October 16, 2023, at approximately 1:15 PM, an employee was using a transport (ride-on powered pallet jack) to pull large trash carts in the mixing room. As they turned the handle, the transport swung into empty trash bins that were along the wall and their left leg was pinned between the transport and the empty trash bins. The employee was hospitalized with injuries to the lower leg including fractures to the tibia and fibula.
