Incident Narrative

A temporary employee was bracing a foundation wall with a 2x4 board. He was attempting to get it to a 45 degree angle and was leaning on the board to secure it in place. The board snapped and the employee fell head-first into the 9-foot-deep trench. The employee sustained a broken tibia and fibula as well as heel fracture.
