Incident Narrative

An employee was setting wood wall panels using a nail gun when the nail gun jammed. After emptying the magazine of nails and putting them back in, the employee shot three nails into a wood panel. On the third shot, the nail hit the head of the second nail that was already in the wall. A piece of the nail broke and ricocheted back, striking the employee under his left eye. They sustained a ruptured globe of the left eye.
