Incident Narrative
An employee was welding steel at his workbench when a nearby rag of lacquer thinner caught on fire. The burning rag heated a metal can of anti-spatter, which then burst and splashed the employee with burning flammable liquids. The employee sustained second- and third-degree burns to his torso, arms, and face.
