Incident Narrative

An employee was climbing an uprooted tree to clear branches away from electrical conductors. He was tied off to an adjacent tree with fall protection and a climb line. When the employee cut a tree limb, it released the tension in the limb, which struck him in the head and knocked him unconscious. The employee was hospitalized due to spinal edema.
