An employee and an operator were working on the hydraulic arm of a shaftless machine. The employee pulled the pin to release the hydraulic arm and restarted the machine after. The machine moved and pinched the employee's glove, pulling his left index finger into the machine. The employee suffered a laceration that resulted in an amputation/avulsion.
