A maintenance technician was called to troubleshoot a proximity switch on top of a cheese table. The switch triggers a metal detector for an agitator to stir the cheese curds on the table and the agitator stopped working. The technician was inside the casing for the agitator chain when his boot got caught in the chain. He was hospitalized with a fractured leg that required surgery.
