An employee was preparing to transfer a transporter. The transfer car was moving from the east side of a basin to the west when the employee noticed the towing boom was going under the carriage of the first cart. The employee reached out to grab the boom when his right middle finger got caught between the boom and the cart, resulting in an amputation of the distal phalanx.
