Incident Narrative
Employees were erecting scaffolding outriggers for masonry workers. The injured employee was on the sixth floor of the scaffolding, preparing to do masonry work. He stepped forward onto outrigger planking. The planking rolled from beneath him and he fell through an opening that was created when the planks moved and landed on the ground below. The employee sustained a punctured lung, a liver laceration, and fractures to their ribs, pelvis, and right wrist.
