Incident Narrative
An employee was installing a plate on the side of a transmission. While holding the plate in place with their left hand, the employee went to seat the plate by hitting it with a rubber mallet. His left middle finger was struck by the mallet resulting in partial amputation of the finger. The fingertip was reattached.
