Incident Narrative

An employee was removing feed from a grain trailer. After unclogging feed in the cone of the feed silo, the employee was getting up off the ground. His right hand was braced on the concrete and as he raised his body, the right hand slipped. His left index finger was caught in the auger, resulting in amputation.
