Incident Narrative

An employee was standing near an excavator that was relocating a 4-inch plastic pipe using a sling connected to a bucket. The equipment was moving slowly down an incline when it started to slide. The boom was lowered and the excavator struck the pipe, causing the pipe to swing and strike the employee's left leg fracturing it.
