Incident Narrative
An employee was cleaning a grease and dirt mixer while in a general work area that contained aerosol cans of brake cleaner as well as lubricants. The employee started welding a crack on the mixer when the welding sparks ignited the aerosol cans and the work area. The employee suffered third-degree burns to his face, arms, abdomen, and legs.
