A temporary employee was performing tasks on the cold scale when a beef carcass became lodged on the peroxyacetic acid wash cabinet as it moved down the automated line. As the employee dislodged the carcass from cabinet, his hand became caught between the carcass and the cabinet, resulting in amputation of the little fingertip.
