Incident Narrative

An employee was loading ceramic plates into a tray carrier as the plate advance mechanism was returning to the home position. The employee went to prevent the stack of plates from tipping over when his right glove was pulled into the housing around the plate advance mechanism, causing an amputation of the right middle and ring fingertips as well as a finger fracture.
