Incident Narrative
An employee was participating in lifeboat emergency escape training. The lever to drop the lifeboat was actuated while the employee was seated on a solid bench inside the lifeboat. The lifeboat dropped onto the water below. The impact caused the employee to sustain fractured vertebrae and a lacerated liver.
