Incident Narrative
An employee was preparing to put a filled unit load device (ULD) onto an inflow rack. The ULD was pressed against one of the locks, so the forklift operator lifted the ULD so that the injured employee could move the lock. As the ULD was moved by the forklift, the employee's middle fingertip was pinched between the dolly lock and the unit load device, resulting in a left middle fingertip amputation.
