Incident Narrative

An employee was performing maintenance on a sewer lift station. An electric winch was being used to lift the pump motor out of the lift station. The winch cable became kinked. As the employee was working to untangle the cable, his right little finger was pinched by the cable and pulley section of the winch resulting in a partial amputation.
