An employee was setting up to paint. When stepping onto the edge of the scaffolding from the 2nd or 3rd step of a ladder, the ladder shifted, causing the employee to fall about 4 feet. He landed on his side on the top stair and was hospitalized for three fractured ribs and a possible bruised spleen.
