Incident Narrative

An employee was vacuuming drums into a hopper and stepped away while a nearby steam drum was being blown down to control level. Upon returning to the task, the employee stepped into an unguarded trench that contained hot water and sustained bilateral first and second-degree burns from the thighs to the toes.
