Incident Narrative

On September 20, 2022, an employee was working at a ham-skinning station on a line. The employee had just skinned a picnic ham, and was reaching to place it back on the conveyor, when the skinner machine's tooth roller caught the sleeve of his protective frock. His left arm was pulled into the machine, which sliced the elbow and the back of the arm, causing an avulsion. He was hospitalized.
