Incident Narrative
An employee was dismounting a riding lawnmower to remove a plastic bucket that was in the path of travel. The blades continued to rotate and the employee lost her footing. The lawnmower struck her left leg causing severe lacerations. The employee was hospitalized and her leg was medically amputated from three-to-four inches below the knee.
