Incident Narrative
A mechanic was using a torch to heat a wheel bearing in order to remove the bearing. A shop rag caught fire. Another employee threw washer fluid on the burning rag. The washer fluid caused a flash fire and the mechanic sustained second-degree burns to the face, chest, and arms.
