An employee was loading parts in and out of a brake press, which required a hand wand to remove parts after bending the parts to the table. The employee was wearing pullbacks and gloves while cycling the press. The employee reached toward the part for proper placement. The pullbacks stopped the employee's hand, but the metal part hit the employee's middle finger, resulting in a partial amputation.
