Incident Narrative
An employee was cleaning saw dust from the slab edger. The employee opened the collector box at the bottom of the machine and was attempting to move saw dust into the vacuum collection system located in the collector box when his finger contacted the saw blade located above the collector box resulting in an amputation injury.
