An employee was preparing for duty at an ambulance station when she inhaled an unknown residual powder from foam insulation in the back of the ambulance after opening a medication storage box. The employee was hospitalized after experiencing respiratory distress due to pulmonary edema caused by an anaphylactic reaction.
