Incident Narrative
On December 18, 2021, an employee was attempting to remove the metal shaft from the core of a completed nonwoven roll. The employee gripped the metal end of the shaft and pushed hard onto the shaft. The shaft suddenly released and smashed his finger between the plastic collar and the end of the shaft. The impact resulted in a partial amputation to the index finger.
