An employee was adjusting 4-by-4 cribbing before a forklift lowered a double-stacked load of 2-by-4-by-8 lumber. The far end of a single piece of cribbing fell off the support, and the employee's right middle finger was crushed between the cribbing and the underside of the double-stacked lumber. The fingertip was amputated (without bone loss).
