Incident Narrative

Four employees were assigned to replace two damaged glass panels that were on a large atrium in front of a residential high-rise. After replacing one glass panel, the injured employee went down for a break. After the break, the employee was repairing caulk on the replaced glass panel when they stepped into the opening of the second glass panel and fell approximately 21 feet 3 inches to the ground. The employee suffered severe injuries to their legs and hips and was hospitalized. Fall protection was not worn at the time.
