Incident Narrative

The injured employee was working on an open-top coal car replacing a piece that supports the sides of the car. The injured employee and a co-worker each had a side of the support. As the co-worker unbolted his side, he lost his grip, and the support swung down on the side of the injured employee, amputating their right ring fingertip.
