Incident Narrative
The injured employee was directing the excavator operator in the lifting of the boring rig from the boring pit. During the lift, the chains needed to be adjusted. As the employee adjusted the chains the boring rig slipped off its tracks and pinned him against the shoring box. The employee suffered a pelvic fracture and was hospitalized.
