Incident Narrative

An employee was using a hammer and chisel to knock out the pin of a hydraulic cylinder on a backhoe when the arm of the backhoe fell approximately 1/2" and caught the employee's left little finger. The employee suffered an amputation of the left little finger at the first knuckle.
