Incident Narrative
An employee was seated on a rebar mat that was at the bottom of an approximately 8 foot deep excavation. The employee was removing dirt by hand, next to the west wall of the excavation. A portion of the soil wall collapsed onto the employee. The employee was hospitalized with displaced vertebrae.
